I am a Medical Officer with both substantial ED and Health Care Management skills. Six months ago I asked Beat Medical to find me immediate ED shifts close to home but also to try and place me in a suitable long term management position. I chose Beat Medical because I had worked with Shaun Hughston previously and had always found him honest, hard working, able to exceed client expectations and well versed in the intricacies of the local health system. Shaun spent some one on one time with me getting all my paperwork done and exploring what my long term goals were. By doing this he was able to get over the Dept Health barriers quickly. He also spent some time reflecting on possible long term postings that would fit my goals and gave me suggestions some of which I would not otherwise have thought of. About six weeks later Shaun was able to place me in a long term position with very good pay and conditions.
The key difference with Beat Medical is its interest in the long term welfare of the Doctor rather than just filling employment gaps within the health system.
